The department "Multimedia Systems" of the Informatik Centrum Dortmund (MMS@ICD) provides engineering, and project management services for IP-based multimedia services as well as for image and audio processing R&D projects.

The department’s objective is the development and establishment of multimedia services for the storage, delivery and management of electronic data, including the determination of application statistics as well as defining the infrastructure, encryption, data conversion and accounting.
